CleanOffice is a full service commercial cleaning company serving the Northern Virginia marketplace.

CleanOffice is owned and operated by Greg Buchner and Mark O'Brien. With a combined 25 years in the building services industry, they understand the importance of providing a clean, safe working environment for your employees and customers.

History
In 1990, the company, originally Tysons Building Maintenance, was founded with the mission to deliver high-quality commercial cleaning services to the Northern Virginia business community.

In 2002, the company was purchased by Mark O'Brien and Greg Buchner both lifetime residents of Northern Virginia. With extensive backgrounds in sales, customer-service and service operations, they shared a vision to grow the business with a focus on the Class-A office building market and decided to change the name to more accurately reflect the company’s primary service offering. Both Mark and Greg maintain active roles in the day-to-day administration and operation of the company.

Mark O’Brien is co-owner of CleanOffice, Inc. and serves as CEO of the company. He is a graduate of Robinson High School and Elon University and has been a resident of Fairfax County for 40 years.

Mark co-founded Vision Recycling Corporation in 1987, which was the first waste company to provide residential curbside pick up of glass, aluminum and newspaper in Northern Virginia.  In 1989, he sold his company to the largest privately owned trash and recycling company.  He then worked as Director of Sales and Marketing and later became General Manager for that same company.  During his tenure, the company grew to over 70 million dollars, 400 employees and 150 trucks.

Mark has served as Chairman on the Citizen Advisory Committee for Solid Waste in Fairfax County and was on the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 1997-2004.

Mark was featured in the Washington Post Magazine for training, competing and finishing VentureQuest, a 35 mile adventure race which includes trail running, mountain biking and canoeing. He competes in Ironman Triathalons. He has coached his son’s youth Football and Baseball teams and select/travel Basketball team.  Mark and his four children, Joseph, Sean, Sydney and Jake reside in Fairfax.

Greg Buchner is a co-owner of CleanOffice and serves as President of the company. In this position, Greg is directly involved in leading day-to-day sales, operations and customer service activities.

Greg is a life-long resident of Northern Virginia and has dedicated his professional career to sales and customer care. Early in his career, he learned that the key to long-term customer relationships was a function of developing a true understanding of the customer's needs and expectations.

Prior to the acquisition of CleanOffice in 2002, Greg held sales and leadership positions both at local companies and Fortune 500 corporations (Republic Industries & EMC Corporation). He is the recipient of several sales achievement awards and has been active in the development and implementation of in-house sales and customer service training programs.

Greg lives in Potomac Falls with his wife Vickie and his two sons, Brad and Andrew.  He is active in the community coaching youth sports teams. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, running, and playing guitar.  In addition, he enjoys kayaking and other outdoor activities.
