CleanOffice was originally founded in 1990 as Tysons Building Maintenance. The company was owned and operated by Francis Lau and catered to small and medium size businesses in Fairfax County. Mr. Lau’s attention to detail and operational structure enabled TBM to build strong service-relationships with several regional banks and small businesses throughout Northern Virginia. In 2002, the company was acquired by the current owners, Mark O’Brien and Greg Buchner. Both being lifetime residents of Northern Virginia with over 30 years of combined business-experience in the Building Services Industry; they saw an opportunity to fill a void in the commercial cleaning marketplace. In a business sector that had a handful of large regional / national players and hundreds of small “mom and pop” operations, it was clear that there was a shortage of well-run, mid-size service providers that could consistently deliver dependable service.

Today

Today, in 2011, CleanOffice has established itself as a trusted service provider for Class A office properties and a variety of facilities throughout the Washington DC Metro area.  The company is home to 300 full and part-time employees and supports close to 5 million square feet of office space each day.

The ownership group / executive team of Mark O’Brien and Greg Buchner continue to maintain active roles in the day-to-day leadership and administration of the company.  However, the true strength of the company is the core of key personnel that are tasked with executing the daily operations of the company.  The core “team”, combined with an internal infrastructure that emphasizes communication and operational efficiency enables the company to continually achieve its mission of providing its clients with the highest level of support on a consistent basis.

Tomorrow

Having successfully developed an internal culture that focuses on constantly keeping a step-ahead of our competition and challenging our key staff members to stretch the boundaries, the management team at CleanOffice firmly believes that the company is well-positioned for steady growth over the next 3 to 5 years. Over this period of time, we will continue to establish ourselves as a first-tier player in the local marketplace while exploring new avenues to expand our ability to support our growing customer base.
